TLauncher · Minecraft Java Edition
Install the mod with TLauncher.
Download the cryptshade.rar archive from this site, then copy its JAR files into the mods folder for your Minecraft 1.20 or later profile in TLauncher.
Before you begin
Download cryptshade.rar from the site's Download page. The mod file specifies Minecraft 1.20 and later; the additional mod files in the archive are named for 1.20.1.
Installation through TLauncher
Follow these steps to install the mod you downloaded:
- Download the archive. Open the Download page, click the Cryptshade Mods download button, and save
cryptshade.rar, usually to your%userprofile%\Downloadsfolder. - Extract the cryptshade.rar archive. In File Explorer, right-click the archive and choose Extract Here in your archive utility. You may need 7-Zip or WinRAR to open RAR files. Do not copy the
.rarfile directly into Minecraft. - Select a Minecraft version in TLauncher. Choose a Minecraft 1.20 or later profile. Version 1.20.1 is recommended because the additional mod files in the archive are named for it. Launch the profile once, then close the game.
- Open the profile's game folder. In TLauncher, click Open folder for the selected profile. The default Windows path is
%appdata%\.minecraft(that is,C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft). If TLauncher uses a custom folder, use the folder it opens. - Open or create the mods folder. In the game folder, open the
modsfolder. The usual full path is%appdata%\.minecraft\mods. If it does not exist, create a folder named exactlymods. - Copy the JAR files from the archive into the mods folder. Select all
.jarfiles in the extractedmodsfolder and copy them into your profile'smodsfolder. Do not copy the RAR file directly into Minecraft. - Launch the game and check it. Reopen TLauncher and launch the same Minecraft profile. If the game does not start, check your profile version and installation.
If TLauncher uses a custom game folder, use the selected profile's Open folder option instead of the default path. Back up your worlds before trying mods, and install only JAR files downloaded from this site.
